Last January on Inauguration Sunday- Joey and I decided to spend the evening in Old Town Alexandria, one of our favorite spots. After some shopping- we decided to warm up in Starbucks- and it was there that one of the most serendipitous moments happened.
While sipping my warm caramel latte, Joey quietly nudged me to turn around- and there in the middle of Starbucks- we witnessed a beautiful proposal. So immersed in the romance of the moment- I completely forgot that I was a wedding photographer AND I had my camera in the car just a few blocks away- and that’s where Joey comes inHe quickly reminded me of those two facts- and suggested I offer this gorgeous newly engaged couple a congratulatory proposal photo session- brilliant (he’s the best).
I introduced myself to the lovely couple, offered the session- and spent twenty minutes capturing the betrothed in the charming streets of Old Town as the sunset. I learned that Keegan and Amy’s first date was at that very Starbucks, and that they were on their way to an inaugural ball. It was the perfect night for a proposal- and I’m so glad Joey and I just happened to be in that Starbucks at the very moment!
Fast forward 10 months- I found myself again with my camera capturing these two pledging their love to one another in a beautiful parish. The whole story is so wonderful- and so full of serendipity.
Keegan and Amy are an amazing couple- a perfect match, and it has been such a pleasure to get to know them and call them friends!
It was an absolute honor to be able to capture a part of Keegan and Amy’s story- they are so special to me
