Sara & Matt | An Old Town Alexandria Engagement

First of all, I have to apologize for my heavy lack of blogging lately. Tis the busy season, but I don’t want to let that to get in the way anymore of neglecting this little blog! The silver lining that comes out of this kind of blog neglect means that there will be a HUGE influx of posts within the next few weeks… There’s SO much to share, and I’m so excited!

To kick off this new season of blogging, I have an incredible couple to share with you in one of my most favorite places! I can’t think of a better way to resume blogging!

Sara and Matt are one of those couples that you immediately count as friends- they have a way of making you feel right at home, and they are so open with their love- and I love their love story! Sara and Matt met a few years ago while both serving in the the Peace Corps in Romania- their paths colliding while at a conference for those serving in that beautiful country. The two lived hours apart while they were in Romania, but grew more in love through their shared experiences. While in Europe, they were able to travel all over together and have so many stories to share from their adventures. It wasn’t long after Matt returned to the U.S. that he asked Sara that wonderful question- and the two will be getting married THIS OCTOBER!

We met up at the beginning of June on a GORGEOUS night in Old Town Alexandria for their engagement session. Sara brought the brightest yellow sunflowers that worked SO well with their colorful ensembles and beautiful love. We then finished out the night shooting by the docks… And I’m thrilled to be sharing the results with you now!

Meet Sara and Matt:)

Happy Wednesday, Friends!
