East Coast Road Trip

One thing we realized while living in London and exploring beautiful Europe- is that there is so much we haven’t seen in our own beautiful country! There is SO much to see in the U.S.- and so much we’ve yet to explore. Sometimes when I think about the amount of wonderful there is to see- I am OVERWHELMED. I realize it’s impossible to see it ALL- but it doesn’t hurt to try:)

SO- A few weeks ago, Joey and I set out on an East coast road trip- with no real destination in mind. We threw a few ideas around of where we wanted to go- and we were on our way!

We spent almost two weeks exploring different towns and cities along the east coast- all the while being as spontaneous as possible! We had the best time adventuring, and it of course only grew our desire to travel MORE. In the meantime, here’s some of my favorite pictures from our latest adventure…

First stop: Savannah, Georgia! We stayed with my sweet newlywed cousin. Check out their anniversary session among the Spanish moss here.

Next stop: St. Augustine, Florida! We spent about 4 days here enjoying the HOT Florida sun- relaxing, at the outdoor pool, eating GOOD food, and exploring the beaches and downtown historic district!

Next stop: Greenville, South Carolina! We spent a couple nights here before we decided to head up to North Carolina to join my parents and brother’s family at Lake Lure! Downtown Greenville was such a great surprise of a town! We spent one night exploring and loved it!

Our last stop: Lake Lure, North Carolina! We spent about 4 days here with my parents and brother’s family and it was the perfect way to wrap up our East coast adventuring!

On our way to Lake Lure, we stopped at the YMCA Symmes Chapel at their “Pretty Place”- a chapel that overlooks the Carolina mountains. It was spectacular- and definitely one of favorite parts of the trip.
