The other day while I was cleaning out my purse and wallet- in the hopes of finding some spare change to justify my bad McDonalds frappe habit (they are kinda my guilty pleasure)- I came across some British pence- and almost started crying. I kinda surprised myself with the gush of feelings that a simple coin discovery brought on, but I’m one of the most nostalgic people I know- so I guess it’s no REAL surprise.
Our time in London sometimes feels like a dream- it was such a wonderful experience to spend so much time together as fresh newlyweds in such a magical place. Europe really does FEEL different than the U.S.- making it all the more dream-like, and somehow making the nostalgia even stronger. We made some amazing memories there, and I am so so grateful.
One thing that helps me realize that it wasn’t actually all a dream, are the proof in photos! I was able to partner with some fabulous wedding vendors in London for headshots and such, and in was such a blessing to work with these fabulous ladies on vario
us weekday afternoons.
One such afternoon I met up with my forever best Italian friend Ilaria of Ilaria Petrucci Photography and the amazingly talented make-up artist, Sarah of Mother Lipstick, to shoot some lovely portraits in the middle of the famous royal Hyde Park. Agreeing to model for the day was Gwenda of The Vintage Floral Design Co. Not only does Gwenda make the most beautiful floral decor- she also is an amazing model- truly, one that inspires!
Going through these photos totally tugged at my heart strings. I SO miss the sweet friends I made during our time in London. I love this beautiful world we live in, I only wish there was no such thing as “distance”- I can’t wait till we can reunite!
Enjoy our ventures through the whimsical Hyde Park!
Happy Monday, friends!
