Happy Tuesday, friends! I’m coming to you with a wrap-up one day late due to lack of a computer yesterday. I had a family shoot near my parent’s house on Sunday night, so we decided to spend the night and forgo the hour drive home and embrace the relaxation and good home-cooking that is my mom’s! This meant no lap-tops since it was spontaneously planned- and as you all know since you too live in this phone-attached-to-the-palm-at-all-times world, it’s pretty awesome to be unplugged every once in a while!
This weekend was full of the good things- starting with a fantastic sunrise session with two of my oldest friends at one of the coolest towns…Lots of goodness in that sentence there. I really really can’t wait to share more about our time with Kristie and Mike in Harper’s Ferry later this week…
After a delicious breakfast at the Town’s Inn in downtown Harper’s Ferry, and spying the below VW bus (and posing in front of it) we headed back home and met our dear friends for a spontaneous date night at the National Harbor on the most beautiful night. HIGHLY recommend Rosa Mexicano if you’re looking for a good date spot with wonderful views at the Harbor- Joey and I have been there a couple times now, and always love it! And then do yourself a favor and order the churros for dessert- you’ll thank me.
After a restful Sunday morning, we headed to Maryland for a sunset family session. When you arrive and an adorable kiddo is dressed like this- you know it’s going to be a good one. More on the Ruppert family soon!
Monday meant back to business, but first a detour at one of our favorite orchards to load up on fall loot. We got a pumpkin (in addition to some fattening goods that I did not photograph)- so we’re ready for you, Trick or Treaters!
The leaves are SO colorful right now- and makes me proud of my east coast roots! Joey and I always joke around about who’s coast is best as he is a native Californian- and I always use autumn’s in the east to add to my debate… and thus win of course…
Before I head out- I wanted to announce the winner from Friday’s first Friday Favorites! MELITA PENA- your name was drawn! Congrats girl! Send me an email with your choice of prizes (the Rifle Paper Coasters, Beautiful Mess book, or Elka Mug) and your address to email@example.com.
Today will be spent at the passport office finalizing the last form of documentation that calls me ‘Adams’! Pray for me- I’ve already braved the SS office once and the DMV THREE times this year- so you can kinda understand my procrastination.
Have a happy Tuesday, friends!
