I wish that you all could see my face when I first import photos right after a shoot. There’s really nothing like watching the upload with a growing excitement as each picture pops onto the screen…at the risk of sounding incredibly nerdy- it’s kinda exhilarating! All shoots elicit this kind of reaction- but there are some shoots that literally have me clapping my hands. THIS is one of those.
I met Caitlin in sixth grade- we were in math class together, and since those awkward days- I’ve always thought she was the coolest ever. Her personality can best be described as infectious- and everyone who is a friend of Caitlin is darn lucky. She’s pure awesome. SO when Caitlin met the man to match her awesome? You can only imagine the magic that ensued! I first had the pleasure of meeting Grant during this shoot- and Joey and I had the best time getting to know him. Any man that waits an hour while his soon to be bride gets hair and make up done, and agrees to very willingly and happily participate in a styled shoot wins major points!
When planning Caitlin and Grant’s engagement session- we decided to go for an all out styled one. I reached out to some the most amazing vendors that I’ve dreamed of working with- and I can’t say enough fantastic things about the incredibly talented people that worked to make this happen! I’ve always loved the old antique dream house that is Lucketts of Leesburg, so when I heard the amazing news that it was available, we planned the rest of the wardrobe and details around the enchanting venue. Paired with gorgeous hair and make up from Gabby and Krystal of Alison Harper & Co, Fleet Collection‘s three whimsical cocktail dresses, Pops of Plum‘s STUNNING florals, and these wonderful soon-to-be newlyweds- the result was a dream come to life.
Enjoy some of my favorites!
