I first met Cristen in sixth grade at Redland Middle School. Those junior high years weren’t exactly my prime ones- plagued by thick bangs, awkward growth spurts, and bouts of shyness (can you believe it?!?)- making friends wasn’t as easy as it was in elementary school…But I found a kindred spirit and forever friend in Cristen during those tough junior high years- and I am so so grateful. She’s a constant source of sunshine to all who know and love her, and my dearest friend. Having someone as wonderful as Cristen in my life is the biggest blessing.
I remember when Cristen first started dating Ben- she lit up, and I think everyone knew this was something special. Ben scored major friend points when he agreed to model with Cristen for my first styled shoot a few years back- any man willing to put on a bow tie, pose AND offer his family vintage car for portraits wins in my book! These two have built a wonderful life together, they just bought the loveliest home, and have the two cutest pups…so hearing the news of Ben’s proposal was the best! Ben asked Cristen to marry him on a snowy night in February with their pups Biko and Dewey, and we decided to revisit this special spot for their engagement session and recreate that amazing night– minus the snow
Cristen and Ben- I love you both, and am SO thrilled for you two- and BikadewYou two are so dear to me and Joey, and I cannot wait for July 2016 to get here! Thank you for the amazing blessing of being your photographer and friend <3
